Josh Kulla

Josh Kulla has been a reporter and photographer for the Spokesman since September 2006. Prior to that, he worked for the Lincoln City News Guard newspaper beginning in May 2000.
He graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in political science, and from Queens University-Belfast (Northern Ireland) with a master's degree in politics.
Kulla is married to Sarale Hickson, an urban planner for the city of Gresham. The couple have one child, Daniel, 1, and are expecting their second this fall.
His hobbies include playing rock music at various venues in the Portland metro area and beyond, as well as photography, swimming and the Portland Timbers soccer club.
