Graphic Information Systems announces Wilsonville move
Lazerquick store and mailing services will remain

Lazerquick
GISI, which operates Lazerquick among its business operations, will consolidate all of its production efforts in Durham. Corporate offices will move early next year.
InFocus Corp. now has a partner in crime, so to speak.
Graphic Information Systems, Inc., which operates several Lazerquick storefronts along the Interstate-5 corridor, told the Wilsonville Spokesman Thursday it will be moving its production out of Wilsonville before the end of the year. Corporate offices may follow in January or February.
“It’s efficiency more than anything else,” said Eben Swett, GISI president and CEO.
The Lazerquick store will stay in Wilsonville, as will mailing services. But all printing production and design will be transferred to the company’s leased space in Durham, near the Bridgeport shopping center. GISI leases about 20,000 square feet in Tigard, as well as about 3
0,000 square feet in Wilsonville.
“Part of it is the size,” said Swett. “Our space in Wilsonville has a second floor and we can’t really put our production on the second floor because of the type of machinery we use. It’s better to have more ground level for production.”
Jobs also must be transferred back and forth between Wilsonville and Durham. Keeping production in one location saves time and energy in moving big jobs. “Having it all under one roof makes sense,” he said.
Lazerquick already moved its digital printing services, Point Signage and Display Systems, to a Beaverton location. Making the move got Swett and other company leaders thinking about making more efficient use of space in their various locations. They plan to keep the lease on the current building, hoping to re-lease or sublease the space to another business or nonprofit.

Once again the Spokesman is on top of an important story for our area. I am continually amazed at how you get ahead of the Oregonian on so many stories. I wonder if the people of Wilsonville realize how lucky they are to have the current staff? Great job and thanks.
