Flu shots
The West Linn-Wilsonville School District has announced plans to hold flu shot clinics for students at a date to be announced.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended that children and young adults, ages 6 months through 24 years, be vaccinated against the H1N1 flu. To make it easier for parents to get their children vaccinated, the West Linn-Wilsonville School District (WLWV SD) is partnering with the Clackamas County Public Health department to provide vaccination clinics at local schools.

The county health department has told district officials there will be sufficient vaccine available for anyone who is eligible to receive it. Because of the need to have adequate staff and vaccines available, the district is asking that parents take children to the school clinic offered for the attendance areas designated by the district:
<br /> Boones Ferry Primary School – students enrolled at Boones Ferry Primary and Inza Wood Middle schools.
West Linn High School – students enrolled at Bolton Primary, Cedaroak Park Primary and West Linn High schools.
Boeckman Creek Primary School – students enrolled at Boeckman Creek Primary, Wilsonville High and Art Tech High schools.
Rosemont Ridge Middle School – students enrolled at Willamette Primary, Sunset Primary and Rosemont Ridge Middle schools.
Stafford Primary School – students enrolled at Stafford Primary and Athey Creek Middle schools.

Clinic dates will be announced when the school district is notified by the County Health Department that vaccines are available. More news on this is expected in the near future, according to school newsletters and e-mail alerts. District officials are hopeful clinics will be held within the next month. If you are able to get the vaccine through your health care provider at an earlier time, district officials are urging people to do so.
