The city of Wilsonville is holding its Fall Harvest Festival from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Stein-Boozier Barn at Murase Plaza. Free, open to the public.

The Tualatin River Keepers will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Fanno Creek Brew Pub, 12562 S.W. Main Street, Tigard, for a discussion with Clean Water Services about using wetlands to polish effluent from the Forest Grove and Jackson Wastewater Treatment Plants. There will be informational meetings at 2 and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Providence Benedictine Nursing Center Conference Room, 540 S. Main Street, Mt. Angel, for those interested in volunteering. There are several programs in need of volunteers, including a therapeutic garden group and comfort companion program. The Sandy Mountain Festival’s annual Spook Trail will be open from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29-31, at 13220 S.E. 362nd Ave, Boring. Cost $7. Milburn’s Boo Lane, a PG rated kid’s haunted adventure, is open from 7-10 p.m. through Saturday, Oct. 31, at 11503 Broadacres Rd N.E. in Hubbard. Boo Lane is a not-too-scary outside walk for a more family-oriented Halloween experience. Admission $5 per child, includes a free medium or small pumpkin (while supplies last). Fir Point Farms, home of Portland’s largest annual Halloween pumpkin patch and Fall Harvest Festival announced that local author Steve Arndt will be signing autographs from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Fir Point Farms, 14601 Arndt Road, Aurora. Arndt is a lifelong resident of the Northwest and has written four books on different regions in Oregon: “Road Less Traveled in Northwest Oregon,” “Road Less Traveled in Northwest Oregon II,” “Road Less Traveled in Southwest Oregon,” and “Road Less Traveled in Southwest Oregon.” Free, open to the public. The French Prairie Gardens Fall Harvest Festival runs this year through Saturday, Oct. 31, at French Prairie Gardens, located five miles west of Woodburn on Hwy. 219. The event is known for its infamous Pigtucky Derby, which has a fast-paced pack of pigs racing in hot pursuit of an Oreo Cookie. Also features a hay maze, pumpkin picking, a two-acre corn maze, hayrides, 30-foot hay slide, obstacle course, animal barn, new indoor hay maze, apple/pumpkin slingshot and much more. Admission $6 Tuesday – Friday for adults, children & seniors, $8 on Saturday and Sunday or $30 for a family pass. Marquis Care Wilsonville will hold its sixth annual annual Halloween Party, including a haunted house and ushering, from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at 30900 S.W. Parkway Avenue, Building B. Monsters, fairies, witches and clowns: Join neighbors in Wilsonville’s Villebois community for the best parade in town starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Sofia Park Pavilion. All costumed Villebois residents and anyone else who cares to join – kids or adults – are invited to march, stroll, ride or roll on a short parade. It all ends with refreshments and activities. The Wilsonville Family History Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has resumed its “First Tuesday” Internet genealogy series. Subsequent classes will be offered through June to provide an in-depth review of online access to census and vital records, newspapers, cemetery and probate records, military and immigration records, and Native American genealogy.
