A junior bowler learning how to drive hit the wrong pedal on her SUV and drove right through a wall at Wilsonville Lanes Saturday as she arrived for league practice, according to Wilsonville Police.
The car created a hole in the side of the building and knocked over some lockers for bowling balls.
Fortunately, said Wilsonville Lanes Events Director Jim Ferretti, no one was in front of the lockers at the time, and no one was hurt.
The incident happened just before 9 a.m. last Saturday and caused serious damage to the side of the building as well as damaging equipment and furnishings inside. The gaping hole left the Jeep is now covered with plywood.
