The SMART Trolley was filled with clowns during the Wilsonville Festival of the Arts "Junk to Funk" parade Saturday. To see a slideshow of the parade, click the blue camera icon at the bottom right of the photo.
Children were all smiles watching the fire trucks, police cars, Wilsonville High School's jazz band and clowns riding in the SMART trolley wander their way through Wilsonville in the second annual Festival of Arts parade.
The crowds this year were bigger than last year, although the route was the same, starting at Parker Johnstone's Wilsonville Honda and heading across town to Wilsonville City Hall.
The theme for this year's event was "Junk to Funk" and it produced many different recycled costumes and floats. In the case of Lee's Martial Arts Academy, students shouted "Reduce!" "Reuse!" and "Recycle!" while kicking and karate chopping down the parade route.
Wayne Lowrie was Grand Marshall of the parade which lasted abo
ut an hour.
For more coverage of the festival, including many more pictures, see Wednesday's Wilsonville Spokesman.
