Catalan family struggling with son's cancer diagnosis

Fundraisers help with expenses, while parents cling to hope of experimental treatment

Gonzalo (left) and Yesenia Catalan have struggled with not only the news that their youngest son Estevan (middle) has brain cancer, but the routine that comes along with getting him to daily radiation therapy and the side effects of his experimental chemotherapy drug.
Second-grader Estevan Catalan is just the kind of boy most parents dream about having. He’s happy, exceptionally polite, loves to ride his bike, play with friends, and gets along with his older siblings.
