One-time lockage bolsters supporters of Willamette Falls Locks

Corps of Engineers allows Canby Ferry, privately-owned vessels temporary passage through the aging locks

The locks still function as designed.  That much was made clear earlier this month, when the gates in the 140-year old Willamette Falls Locks in West Linn creaked into action to allow shipping through once again.
