Panel favors substantial increase in housing for future neighborhoods

Wilsonville will soon acquire new land for a park in the Frog Pond area.

Wilsonville is one step closer to getting a new neighborhood park after the West Linn-Wilsonville School Board approved the potential sale of 3 acres of land in the Frog Pond area to the city government during a meeting Monday, Dec. 5.

The Frog Pond property has been in the district’s possession since 1998. The district originally purchased 25 acres, but sold 10 acres in 2017 and then another 1.5 acres to the housing development that plans to build an additional neighborhood adjacent to the school’s property.
