The Wilsonville City Council recently debated the cost to rename Southwest Columbine Avenue, which a Wilsonville resident said was an offensive name.

With three minutes on the clock, Wilsonville resident Sean Leahy took to the podium to give public comment during a Feb. 6 City Council meeting.

“I’m here to ensure the council is aware of an offensive street name that was approved in the new Frog Pond Ridge development, and to seek approval for a reduced fee to have the street name changed,” he said.
